About GMGA

Overview

The Goulburn Murray Golf Association (GMGA) represents 17 golf clubs through the northern plains and the Murray River with a combined total of approximately 3,650 club members.  The clubs encompass both grass and sand greens including 9, 18 and some 36 hole courses.   The GMGA was “born” from the amalgamation of the former Goulburn Valley District Golf Association (men) and the Goulburn Valley Ladies Golf Association (women) which took place at a Special General Meeting of all Member Clubs on 27 July 2017.

Member Clubs of the GMGA are; Cobram-Barooga, Cosgrove, Hill Top Tatura, Kialla, Kyabram Parkland, Kyabram Valley View, Mathoura, Merrigum, Mooroopna, Nagambie, Nathalia, Numurkah, Rich River, Rushworth, Shepparton, Strathmerton,  Tocumwal.  Out of the 17 golf clubs, 5 clubs within the district have the services of professional teaching staff whilst others range from fulltime employee management clubs to volunteer community run clubs that provide golf, some with bowls clubs, and social opportunities for their communities.

The GMGA conducts inter-club pennant and several events each year to promote golf and is represented at Country Week by both Men, Women and Junior Golfers.
