FINAL WEEK

The final week is over….. scores are in the spread sheet.   Coins from Tocumwal have showed no mercy. In fact they showed no consideration to other teams at all.  A team best score of 187 has left no doubt for a truly great win.   A ten week total of 1805 points for a 26 point winning margin over Shepparton Gold in second place.   Now look at the total scores for second, third, fourth, fifth places.  Incredible.  After ten weeks of five player scores each week only one point between second and third and then one point between third and fourth. 

If we analyse the winners. Coins 1805 points = average 180 points each week = average 36 points per player each week. Magnificent scoring.  Another interesting snippet; is that Coins were the first team to enter and pay for the Showdown competition.    A big celebration dinner coming soon!!!

As we celebrate the winners we still need to consider all the teams and a few teams suffered from players in isolation or away this week; with Ky Parkland both Black and Red Teams, Kialla Pacers and Rich River Pros and Cons only able to register scores for four players in this final week.  

Best individual scores for the final week were Shane Halloran (Coins) 42 points with Greg Birks (Shepp Gold) and Patrick Hannon (Holey Moley) both with 40.  Very close tussle for the women with Cath Kelly (Misfits), Sue Herbison (Golf Busters), and Julie Penny (Coins) all on 38 points.   Please note: as they rub salt into our wounds, that best individual scores men and women from Coins Team players. 

As the Looney Toons used to say “that’s all folks”.   We hope you have all enjoyed a golf competition with a different format and hopefully a bit of fun.   We can now do some planning for the next one.
