GMGA Juniors Win Two in a row

Posted on: 17 November

Junior Golfers from six different GMGA Clubs are playing in Victorian Play at Home Pennant.  Ten participants play each week at their home or another District Club and score stableford points. At other competing clubs and Districts throughout the State the same happens.  The six best scores of the ten players are added as the team score for each round and then rated against the opposing team of the draw.

In week one GMGA defeated Huntingdale GC 209 points to 198.  In Round two on the weekend 14 and 15 November GMGA played Commonwealth GC and came away with another win.   The six best GMGA stableford points scores were James Ralph 34, Hudson Storer 29, Casey Chandler 31, Sam Trembath 38, Charley McKenna 37, Ryan Ezard 31; for a team score of 200 points.  The Commonwealth GC team scored 176 points.  A win to GMGA and maintained top of the ladder in Region 3.

Well done to the team.  A great effort.  Next weekend in Round three GMGA play Cardinia Beaconhills.

A great personal achievement of note is that Charley McKenna, a member at Tocumwal and representing GMGA is also a member at Black Bull GC at Yarrawonga and on Sunday Charley shot a scratch round of 76 at Black Bull to win their club championships
