At the AGM of the GMGA held 12 November 2019 Annie Beveridge finished her term as GMGA’s Women’s Captain and there were no nominations for the position.  The vacancy was highlighted at the Women’s mid-week Summer Pennant Final Flag Day at Hill Top on 5 December 2019.  Mandy Faram from Shepparton Golf Club showed interest and asked a few questions.

Following a couple of conversations Mandy agreed to take on the role of Women’s Captain and at the first GMGA Committee meeting for 2020 Mandy was appointed to the position under Clause 56 of the GMGA Rules of Association – Filling Casual Vacancies.

 

 

Mandy, as shown in the photo has started her term as Captain in a very enthusiastic and diligent manner and is preparing for Mid-week pennant immediately. 

GMGA President David Roberts thanked Mandy for taking on the position of Captain and congratulated her on her willingness to take on the responsibility. 

Two new Captains Mandy Faram and Shane Halloran are now contributing to the operation of the GMGA and one of their first tasks will be to form a new match Committee.    Please say hello to Mandy and Shane when you see them at events and please give them as much cooperation and assistance as you can.
