GA Fourball Qualifier

Local GMGA players did very well in the Golf Australia, Victorian Fourball Qualifier event held at Hill Top Tatura on Sunday 5 March.
The entered field was for 84 players but when one pair failed to attend GA Relationship Officer Tristan Zito had to play to score for a pair.
With players from many clubs around the State all trying to qualify for the playoff finals it was pleasing to see members of GMGA clubs do well.
In the Men’s event Glenn Newton and Bryce Wellington (Hill Top) won with 46 points. On a countback from Jacob Chessells and Linc Wellington (Hill Top) 46 points. A good day for the Wellington brothers.
In the Women’s event it was Kerryn Pickworth and Suzie Phillips-Limon (Shepparton) 46 pts. Great to see Club workers in Shepp’s women’s Captain and President taking the honours. Runners Up Alexandra Evered and Alison Borchers (Trentham) 43 points.
In the Mixed division. Shannon Spinks (Benalla) and Rhylee Chapman (Rich River) returned a card with 47 points to record an easy win over Runners Up David and Bev Roberts (Hill Top) 44 points.
Big thanks to Bev Roberts for much of the local organisation and to Tristan Zito for representing GA and ensuring all went according to the conditions.
