Kim claims the cup

On Sunday 27 November 2022 the GMGA  Women’s Championships was played in conjunction with the Shepparton Open.  The Shepparton Open is a Suzie Tolhurst and Ivo Witten Order of Merit points tournament so a great field of golfers assembled.

Congratulations to Shepparton GC’s and GMGA Country Team Captain Kim Morris who returned a 77 scratch score to win the event and take another GMGA Championship ahead of last year’s winner Rowena Wallace.

In the net section it was it was Sonya Hill who claimed victory with a 69 net ahead of Suzy Phillips Limon on 71.

Sonya said that playing with Kim and young Casey Chandler made her concentrate and was a great experience in the event.

Well done to both Kim and Sonya as winners and to Rowena and Suzy as runners up.  Also a s[special well done to Casey Chandler, one of up and coming juniors who is now one of the lowest ranking handicaps for women in the District.  A great experience for Casey playing with Kim.
