Spring Showdown Week Seven
Posted on: 26 December
The competition rounds to the Christmas break are complete. Coins from Tocumwal go into the beak as leaders. Their 174 in week seven was their second lowest score but those chasing them recorded similar scores except for Pros and Cons who have slipped from second to fifth.
One lesson learnt last week = don’t stir up Charlie Ezard and his Shepp Gold team. After two relatively bad weeks (for the Golds) they came back with vengeance in Week Seven with 191 equal third best team score recorded for the season so far. Well done Shepp Gold your scoring will never be questioned again!!! Sure helps with the men’s best individual score with Greg Birks registering 42 points and yes thanks Sally Nayler 38 points.
Cobram-Barooga’s Golf Busters have jumped up one place to eighth following their Week Seven 180 with thanks and congratulations to the best female score of the week Jenny Hindson 39 points.
Shepp Blue also jumped up one spot to sixth with Week Seven second best team score of 188 being led by example by team Captain Bob Shields 40 points.
At the other end of the scoring scale Hill Top Slashers and Ky Parkland Black suffered similar consequences being able to only get four player scores into the sheet, down 40 and 39 points respectively on their week six scores. Too many Christmas parties for their players.
We now head into the Christmas New Year break. Enjoy the festive season and perhaps refresh golf swings and putting strokes. Scoring starts again for the week Tuesday 4 January to Sunday 9 January for week eight. So looking for scores by Monday 10 January and expect a day delay in results due to organiser commitments.
Merry Christmas and all the best for 2022.
