Spring Showdown Week Five
Posted on: 6 December
Nathalia Jumping
We have reached the half way point. Spring has merged into summer; and just look at the top of the ladder only a few points separating the top few teams. Then look down at the bottom after being last by 23 points last after round four Nathalia amassed this week’s high score of 190 and now only 8 behind and on a roll.
Stop laughing you others, just because Shepp Gold had a bad week it’s not very sporting of you all to laugh. Holey Moley have taken over top spot and Shepp Gold are equal second and there is not much in it. I am sure Charlie Ezard will call a team meeting of his Gold crew. Must have been tough at Shepparton this week, the Birdie Hunters had a downer also — couldn’t catch any birdies!!
Again the best individual scores are outstanding. Time to examine the Golf Link handicaps???? Barbara Duke from Misfits and Wendy Fulton from Nathalia both recorded 42 points. Veronica Irving (Golf Busters) 41 and Shellei Clark (Triers) 40 points. For the men Patrick Hannon really boosted the Misfits score with his 43 points, with three other men posting 39 points. How fortunate for Misfits to have Barbara and Patrick in their team.
At the half way mark if we get this into perspective Holey Moely on top 905 points over five weeks equal average of 181 points per week for five players an average of 36.2 points per player per week. This is way above national average of points scoring. However, boosted nearly every week by a couple of great scores.
Two more weeks then Christmas New year rest.
