District Mixed Champions decided

On Sunday the Goulburn Murray District Mixed Foursomes event was held at Kyabram Valley View Golf Club where players from a range of clubs participated and shared the trophies.   It is the fifty first year that the scratch event has been held so the traditions run high.       

David and Felicity Booth from Numurkah won the scratch event with a score of 78.

Runners Up to David and Felicity were last year’s winners Tracey Clouston and Lincoln Ferrari who shot 80.















The Handicap Event –The George Cronyn Memorial is played in recognition of George Cronyn who was a very popular and hardworking President of the previous Goulburn Valley Mens’ District

Mooroopna pair of Alex Radevski and Felix Rodell won the George Cronyn Cup and associated prizes with a score of 69.7 net ahead of local Valley View couple of Paul and Renae Dickens.

Nearest the pins holes were only hit by men players and the two best scratch scorers of David Booth and Lincoln Ferrari took one each.   The next best handicap scores for Balls down the line went to Judy Greer and Darryl Harrison from Valley View, Ros Seymour Tocumwal and Alex Howson Hill Top playing as a GMGA Committee pairing and Craig and Trish Mathisen from Shepparton

Big thanks must go to all those involved especially GMGA Captain Annie Beveridge for organisation and Officials and Volunteers of Valley View Golf Club for their work and hospitality.

The District organisation now turns to winter pennant before the Sandgreen and District Championships in August.
